If you're going to have a rock star character, you might as well have a real rock star play that role. Andy Kim, who was between hits at the time (he'd already had a string of hits like "How'd We Ever Get This Way" and "Baby I Love You" and would soon have his biggest hit "Rock Me Gently"), plays the rocker in this episode.
