From The TV IV

Bad Girls (1999-2006) is a hard-hitting and thought-provoking drama about the everyday life in a women's prison. Set in G-Wing of Larkhall Prison, the inmates vary from drug addicts and shoplifters to some of the most evil and psychotic murderesses around such as Shell Dockley, Maxi Purvis and Natalie Buxton. Unfortunately the wing has its own problems with a major factor being the officers running the show, with the evil and manipulative Jim Fenner at the helm in the role of Principal Officer, not to mention Sylvia "Bodybag" Hollamby. Behind these same bars are the tough but decent and good-hearted Nikki Wade, Yvonne Atkins, and Pat Kerrigan who more than measure up to these bullies and do what they can to protect the more vulnerable girls from the monsters on both sides of the bars.
