Plot Overview

Madge returned home, wandered stiff-legged about her apartment, and was horrified to see Danny's photo, since Flo had taken it with her. In a voice-over pre-recorded melange with plenty of echo, a superimposed image of Danny laughed threateningly at Madge. Charlie came by with the paper, but Madge was upset not to find in it what she was looking for. He was flabbergasted when Madge blurted out that Danny was dead. Jim comforted Mary, who felt guilty at never liking Danny, saying she'd been the only one to say a kind word about him, that he was pathetic. Mary stared at him in dawning horror when he said that the wife is usually the police's main suspect. Madge told Charlie of meeting Danny, hiding in the corridor, and listening through the fire door to hear that Danny had been murdered. Charlie informed her that a drunk Flo was back in town. She told him her mother just called with news that Flo had taken the $100 seed money. A pie-eyed Flo came home, staggered to the couch, and reminisced about the good times with Danny.
