Missy was flustered when Walter couldn't find it credible that she had seen Bill last night on a professional basis only. Not to be disloyal, Helen agreed when Liz challenged her assertion to Buckley that they were in the middle of wedding plans. The 3 women gasped when he asked Liz for Bill's whereabouts last night. Lenore told him about being with Bill at the restaurant. Dru forbade Walter from asking why Missy left town last year, but Missy described meeting and marrying Danny. When Walter wondered why she married Danny if she didn't love him, Dru explained it was a mystery of the misty mid-regions of the human mind and heart. Walter agreed to let Pat explain herself how she found out Danny knew all along of the inheritance. Missy recoiled when Walter showed her the gun. Helen criticized Liz for making Lenore lie. Buckley was at a loss for words, since Liz assured him Bill had been home all evening, when Walter told him Bill had gone to see Missy.
