Plot Overview
Pat and John played nursemaid to an upset Bill. John elaborated the reasons why it was better for Dru than Bill to have accompanied Missy. John falsely assured Pat that Missy hadn't done any harm by lying about her whereabouts. Lenore, with consummate dignity, came downstairs, where Helen told her of the murder and Liz implored her to act as if she were still engaged to protect Bill. Walter and Dru were both interested when Missy mentioned Sam. When Walter was called away, Dru advised Missy to mention seeing Bill to substantiate the fact of her whereabouts. Walter joked about Missy's "mysterious stranger" story with his secretary, Ms. Klein. Dru admitted to Walter that Missy had been seeking a divorce and had met Bill last night to discuss it. Lenore put the ring on when Helen noticed a car pulling up.
