Plot Overview

Lee wondered what news everyone had to tell her about Missy. Madge felt it was a bad time when Charlie urged her to tell Flo, who cuddled his picture, that Danny was dead. Flo burrowed into her handbag with increasing frenzy when she could find only $9 of the seed money. Madge refused to believe it when Flo wailed that she'd been robbed. Flo ranted she was going to phone Danny and make him come back to her. After sensing Bill's worry, Lee asked Pat if Missy killed Danny. Bill noticed the tension between Lee and Pat when Lee told John she'd have no problem playing dumb. After Madge dragged Flo away from the phone, Flo was stupefied to hear Danny was dead. Madge and Charlie were frustrated when Flo laughed and sobbed hysterically, denying it and kissing Danny's picture, until Madge slapped her. Avoiding her eyes, Charlie assured Madge he'd back up her story that she was never in Bay City. Pat was hesitant to worry him when Bill asked her to confide in him, but he revealed that, after a long talk with Mike, he already knew everything. Pat was grateful that Bill still held her in high regard, but felt it wouldn't do any good for him to talk to Lee. Bill was alarmed when a furious John slammed the phone down and said Liz had admitted lying to Buckley about Bill's whereabouts.
