Plot Overview

Missy tried to talk Bill out of confronting Danny. Madge was almost speechless with rage when Danny, with an insouciant smile, said he could make Missy believe everything Madge said was a lie, then left her to pick up the check. Missy convinced Bill that Danny wouldn't hurt her since he needed her cooperation, and that she could lure him to the bank tomorrow, a safer place for Bill to confront him. Sam broke into Danny's suite, and made a mental note of the revolver he stumbled across in his search for valuables. Danny was frazzled to find Sam in his room still harping on being sent up for the job they pulled. Sam informed him he has a "To whom it may concern" letter in a safety deposit box in case Danny tried to use the gun on him instead of meeting his payoff deadline of 10:00 tomorrow morning. Sam ran smack into Liz when she darted off the elevator, then was interested when she buzzed Danny's room and he let her in. Danny was astonished when Liz informed him that Missy had been seeing Bill behind his back. Desperate to bargain with him, she offered to try to convince Missy to settle a large sum on him, but he decided he'd only accept $500,000 from Liz.
