Plot Overview
John failed to interest Pat and Lee in his discussion of divorce laws. Mary and Jim admitted they'd been relieved ever since Mike got on a plane and left Bay City. After he made a big speech of his love for her, they decided to stop in on Pat. Lee was venomous in her condemnation of Pat, who explained she and Michael were in love, but he left so nothing would happen. Lee was sure he left because he was too honorable to keep up an affair with a married woman. Dru lamented to Alice he doesn't live the life of the reprobate he imagined he would be, then they speculated if Liz had reason to be agitated about Bill's behavior. Liz's worst fears were realized when Bill decided to tell her he'd seen Missy. She pressed the attack when he said he understood everything now, but he blew up when she harped on his taking Danny's leavings.
