Plot Overview

A mysterious client summons Rex and Kookie to Europe, where he bounces them around until they wind up in Monaco, where they finally meet. Their client is a millionaire who wants them to guard a priceless tiara he intends to give to his fiance, a beautiful ballerina, and they are to watch over it during a lavish party he's throwing. When the tiara is replaced with a worthless replica, the detectives are given 24 hours to find it, but discover blackmail and murder that changes the scope of the case.

The Show

This episode was co-written by Bill Finger, who, along with Bob Kane, created Batman. Finger, however, never received credit for his role in the development of the famous comic book superhero until decades later.

This episode marks the final appearance of Richard Long as Rex Randolph. Long, interestingly, would appear as a guest star in different roles in the subsequent seasons.
