Winx Club is an Italian animated series. This show is about a fairy named Bloom, and her friends Stella, Tecna, Musa, Flora, and Layla, all whom attend the Alfea School for Fairies in the Realm of Magix. Together, they go on adventures and fight the forces of darkness and always have time for fun in between.
This series features two English dubs. One was created by Cinelume Film Video, and primarily airs overseas, in countries such as Singapore and Malaysia. This dub has been referred to as the "Rai English" dub, or incorrectly as the "UK" dub, even though it does not actually air in the UK. The other English dub was created for American markets by 4Kids Entertainment and airs in the USA, Canada, the UK, Australia, and a few other countries.
Winx Club has spawned three 26-episode seasons and a full-length CGI movie, known as Winx Club: The Secret of the Lost Kingdom and has been released in Italy in late 2007, with a Singapore release coming November 20. In a Licensing Show in 2008, a fourth season was announced for 2009, with a second movie coming that Christmas. Unknown at the moment is if 4Kids Entertainment will acquire the rights for the fourth season, or if the movies will ever be released in the USA.
