Plot Overview
Dawn Harris spends her day at home cooking, cleaning the house, taking care of the laundry and caring for her three children: 13-year-old Zach, 9-year-old Colten and 6-year-old Annalee. She wakes up at 5:30 every morning to make coffee and pack a lunch for her construction worker husband, Jimmy (who doesn't help out with any housework) and is expected to have a hot dinner ready for him when he gets home from work; she also has to scratch Jimmy's back every night to help him sleep. Dawn also works full time from home as a medical transcriber, but doesn't get her work done until after midnight due to the interruptions of her kids and her hectic home life.
Dawn swaps lives with Kym Young of Texas, who works as the manager of a car dealership. Her husband, Hallmark is an unemployed actor who dotes on Kym, cares for their 6-year-old daughter, Baylee, does all the housework and even serves Kym breakfast in bed.
