WGWG is the call sign for a station in Charleston, South Carolina. It broadcasts on digital channel 34 and is displayed as virtual 4.
The station first opened in 1992 on analog channel 36 as WCTP, an independent, changing to WBTU in 1995 as an affiliate of The WB. It later became WMMP and in 2006 became a My Network TV affiliate.
In 2014, Sinclair was selling off some of its assets and was trying to unload WMMP. Failing that, they announced they were selling WCIV/channel 4 (ABC) to Howard Stirk Holdings. They switched WCIV's license and call to channel 36 and moved the ABC affiliation to channel 36's subchannel. WMMP's call was transferred to channel 4, and they took on programming from ad hoc network ZUUS Country. In March, 2015, the call was changed to WGWG.
