WCW Main Event was an American professional wrestling program which aired on TBS from 1988 until it ended in 1998. The show also aired in first-run syndication in some markets. During the show's first three years, it went by its original name of NWA Main Event until early-1991. The early episodes were produced by Jim Crockett Promotions until November 1988, after which JCP successor World Championship Wrestling took over production until the end of its run.
The JCP/WCW program archive, including WCW Main Event, was purchased by World Wrestling Entertainment in 2001 following the demise of WCW, and is currently part of its WWE Libraries division.
