Viva Piñata is a computer-generated animated comedy show co-produced by 4Kids Entertainment with video game makers Rare (part of Microsoft). A video game of the same name was released for the Xbox 360 and Windows PCs. The franchise is an attempt to make the Xbox 360 video game console more family-friendly.
Season one and two aired on the 4Kids TV block on FOX. The first six episodes of the third season were shown on the CW4Kids block on The CW, after witch it was pulled from the schedule. All episodes have aired outside the US.
The series follows the adventures of a group of living piñatas who reside on Piñata Island. As befits a piñata, they spend their time filling up with candy so they can attend parties and be the center of the show.
