Underbelly: The Golden Mile is a 13-part miniseries about the collapse and destruction of the criminal organizations and police corruption centered around Sydney, Australia's Kings Cross neighborhood between 1989 and 1999. It is a direct sequel to the 2009 Underbelly series A Tale of Two Cities as it picks up many of the characters' stories from the end of that series. It's only connection to the original Underbelly is through the second series as The Golden Mile focuses on the Sydney underground in the 1990s and the original followed the Melbourne underground at the same time while the second series focused on both cities in the 1970s and '80s. Caroline Craig again narrates but is never identified as Jacqui James since that character lived in Melbourne and has no connection to this story.
