Plot Overview
While Ripples is discharging a very troublesome patient, the patient is shot outside the hospital. A Vietnam vet instigates the shootout and seriously injures Ripples" patient who suffers with heart problems. When the veteran can't remember his actions, Gonzo suspects the vet is suffering from post traumatic stress resulting from the Vietnam War. While Gonzo is trying to prove the vet's condition so that the patient does not endure criminal charges, Trapper treats the shooting victim who is suffering from paralysis in his legs. The man also wants to sue the hospital. The patient's heart condition makes the surgery all the more risky and he must decide if he wants to undergo the risky surgery that might make him walk again. Gonzo is able to get the veteran the help he needs and the paralyzed patient regains the use of his legs as well as a new attitude.
