- Ianto: This is about Diane, isn't it? When will you accept that she chose to leave you?
- 1x04 - Cyberwoman: Ianto had hidden his girlfriend Lisa, who had been changed halfway into a Cyberman, in the Torchwood basement. She went onto a murderous rampage and was eventually killed.

- Doctor Who - 27x13 - The Parting of the Ways: When Rose absorbed the power of the Time Vortex, she brought Jack back to life, but neither she nor the Doctor seemed to be aware of this and they left him behind during the chaos of the Doctor's regeneration.
- Jack: Someone saved my life, brought me back from death.
Trivia
The Show
- Anachronism: Bilis's Polaroid Land Camera, the first instant camera, wasn't produced until 1948. However, given Bilis's special ability, this is probably an intentional anachronism and not a goof.
