Top Cat is an animated comedy that aired on ABC.

Top Cat was a con-artist in the alleys of New York City's 10th Precinct, where he used conniving and fast talking so he and his buddies could thrive. T.C. (as his best friends call him) lives in a garbage can beneath a police phone which he answers with extreme boldness under the nose of gruff yet gullible Officer Dibble.

Top Cat is indirectly influenced from Phil Silvers' hit show You'll Never Get Rich, where Silvers played fast-talking Sgt. Bilko. In fact, Benny the Ball's voice Maurice Gosfield played Pvt. Doberman on that series.

Hanna-Barbera produced Top Cat in association with Screen Gems. Warner Bros. Television is the current distributor of the series.
