Plot Overview

The group is exposed to a more hopeful perspective of the world when Jesus takes them to his settlement so that they can begin trading for what they need. However, shortly after arriving, they learn that much of what the Hilltop Colony has already belongs to another, dangerous group.

• Maggie: Wait, you're looking for more settlements. You mean you're already trading with other groups?
  Jesus: Your world's about to get a whole lot bigger.

  Glenn: Sure.
  Abraham: When you were, uh, pouring the Bisquick, were you trying to make pancakes?
  Glenn: Uh... yes? Oh, okay, um... yeah, it's something that we talked about, yeah.

  Abraham: No, I just... Given the precarious state of affairs on any given Sunday, I am damn near floored that you or anyone else would have the cojones to make a call like that.

  Abraham: For the record, I see rain coming, I'm wearing galoshes. I double up.
• Rick: We heard the name Negan. A while back, Daryl and Abraham had a run-in with his men. Who is he?
  Jesus: Negan's the head of a group of people he calls the Saviors. As soon as the walls were built, the Saviors showed up. They met with Gregory on behalf of their boss. They made a lot of demands, even more threats. And he killed one of us - Rory. He was 16 years old. They beat him to death right in front of us. Said we needed to understand, "right off the bat."
• Rick: Confrontation's never been something we've had trouble with.
• Gregory: What makes you think you can do what we haven't done?
  Maggie: We've handled people like Negan.
  Gregory: How?
  Maggie: They're dead.
