The Super Globetrotters (1979) is an animated sports comedy series based around the Harlem Globetrotters, a basketball entertainment team which infuses over-the-top physical comedy with basketball. This is not the first Globetrotters series, the first was The Harlem Globetrotters in 1970, but it was the first to attempt to rejuvenate the franchise by making them into superheroes.

Each episode followed the typical Scooby-Doo, Where Are You format. The Globetrotters would be driving to a basketball game in their van, but eventually they'd either become stranded or alerted to a crime in progress by "Crimeglobe." They would then transform into their superhero identities and save the day, often through a basketball game. Most of the characters were essentially rip-offs of The Impossibles, which Hanna-Barbera created in the 1960s.

The series was broadcast for 13 episodes on NBC before cancellation. The series was also broadcast on Cartoon Network in the mid-1990s after Turner Broadcasting purchased Hanna-Barbera. The series also occasionally appears in the 5 AM hour of Adult Swim, in which older series are typically shown.
