Plot Overview
Homer is enjoying some relaxation in a Sauna.An unknown,and unseen Face puts a Wrench between the handles of the Door to his Steamroom,locking Homer inside.He is save from suffocating.Finding the wrench large between the Door,Homer,and the Family are convinced that someone is trying to murder him.They report the matter to Chief Wiggum.When questioned about who would have a motive to want Homer dead,Homer,and Marge go through a list of name of People that would want Homer dead.To psychological profile on the would be murderer,Chief Wiggum,and the Simpsons go to the Springfield Prison to talk to an inmate who knows the Criminal mind.To the Simpsons surprise the criminal is Sideshow Bob.The Simpsons express their usual expression.Sideshow Bob is willing to help the Simpsons find Homers would be murderer provided he be allowed access into their Home,and especially to Bart.Bart of course is not thrilled to have Sideshow Bob in his Home(since Bob have on so many occasions tried to kill him).Chief Wiggum has a solution to this.He tapes an electric device to Bobs leg,with another device to shock him if he gets any ideas to wanting to harm Bart,or any of the Simpsons.Each of the Simpsons throughout would push the button to shock him,causing him moderate pain.Bob follows Homer everywhere to get a psych profile on the would be murderer.So far the murderer has not shown his hand.Then one day,Homer receives an invitation to be the main guest at a Springfield Parade.This invitation is obviously a ploy to getting Homer out in the open for the culprit to strike.Bob,and Marge advise Homer not to attend.Homer refuses to listen since the Parade being in his Honor,and he loves to be the center of attention(Public Wise),he will attend.Chief Wiggum has been alerted to Homer being in the Parade,and with his Police Officers present in the Crowd,plus Homer Lenny,and Carl on the look out,Homer will find himself in worst trouble.Only Homer himself,and Sideshow Bob will catch the would be Murderer.After the would be murderer is cornered,and arrested,the Simpsons can now relax,and enjoy their lives.That is until Bart is surprized by Sideshow Bob who still wants to kill him.He has Bart in his clutches,and is about to do him in when Bob suddenly has a change of heart.After singing a redition of an old song,Sideshow Bob departs,leaving Bart alive until they meet again.
Notes
There were signs of who the would be murderer is throughout the scenes in this episode.If one watches carefully then one can recognise a familiar face,but a different character from years before on a Simpsons episode.
