Lisa the Tree Hugger is the fourth episode of the twelfth season of The Simpsons, and the two-hundred and fifty-second episode overall.

Plot Overview

Lisa becomes an Environmental Tree Hugger when she,and the Family watch a young Man,and his group of Enviromentalist protest sale of Meat at a Springfield Mall.Lisa is smitten by the young Mans dedication for the saving of Cows being slaughted.The group,and their Leader are arrested.Lisa visits the young Man in jail.She talks with the young Man who tells her of their next Meeting which he will attend after his release.He invites Lisa to attend.At the Meeting,Jesse,the young Man tells the group of some Company's plan to cut down some Redwood Trees.Jesse had one of his friends secretly videotape a Auction were a Rich Texan has plans to cut down the Redwood Trees.Jesse's plan is to have somebody climb on top of one of the Redwood Tree,and remain there.Lisa makes the willing decision to go,and remain atop the Redwood Tree.The Loggers,and the Rich Texan seeing Lisa atop the Redwood ceases their chainsaws.Jesse soon arrives,and gives a shout out in support of Lisa.Homer,and Marge also arrive to give support,and even Bart who arrives later gives his support to Lisa.In what seems to be days gone by,Lisa with Binoculars watches as the Family is celebrating Christmas,and Easter,and having Dinner.Having watched this Lisa decides to climb down,and spend about an hour with them,then return to the Tree.Lisa arrives Home only to find the Family asleep in the Family Room.She would soon be asllep as well.By the Morning Lisa realised that she overslepted,and rushes back to the Redwood,only to find it cutted down.At first it looked as though the Loggers cut it down,but it was a Lightning Bolt from the Storm that brought down the Redwood.Lisa is relieved that she was not at fault for the Redwood being brought down.That is until it was discovered that a Metal Bucket that Lisa had with her had attracted the Lightning Bolt that was on the Tree branch.

Memorable Moments

Jesse,and his group are dressed like Cows to Protest the treatment of Cows.The Log which had been hit struck by Lightning rolls towards the Business District destroying several Businesses.Homer having Lisa(reluctantly) saying in a Tape-Recorder to Moe to put Cocktail Onions down his pants.
