Plot Overview
Homer is curious about the mysterious goings on about Lenny, and Carl.It seems that both his friends have easy chairs, and have better Parking Spaces than Homer.Added to this, they seem to always be busy.Homer decides to follow them to wherever, and whatever they are doing.Using a can of paint,Homer follows them by Car to a secret place that they attend on a regular basis. This place is secluded which makes Homer even more curious about what is going on.After not being allowed to enter,Homer climbs atop the Roof of this place, but is discovered when he falls through the Roof Ceiling. He is then tossed out.The very next day,Homer confronts Lenny, and Carl about the Secret Place that he saw them enter the night before.Lenny lets it slip that they belong to The Stonecutters,an Organization that has been kepted a secret for many years(except for its members).Homer having learned about the secret Organization, wants to become a member.Lenny, and Carl tells Homer that it is an exclusive Club, and that the only way to become a member is to do one of two things:to either be the son of a Stonecutter,or to save the life of a Stonecutter.Homer later tells the Family the requirements to becoming a Stonecutter. He learns that his Father Abe is a Stonecutter, among his other type of Memberships. With this Homer can now become a Stonecutter. He must however pass several tests to become a Member. The tests to which he undergoes are like the tests of College Fraternity gives to new Members. They are pranks. After passing each test,Homer is given the swearing in oath by the Leader of the Springfield Chapter The Members of the Springfield Chapter of the Stonecutters includes most of the men of Springfield, and actor Steve Guttenberg. The activities to which the Stonecutters engages in is mainly drinking Beer, and playing Games.Homer would indeed fit right in.Homer is very happy being a part, and being accepted with others.Happy though he is,he wants to be careful not to do,or say anything that would get himself kicked out of the Stonecutters.Alas that is not to be.While the men are preparing to have dinner,Ribs,Homer takes the Sacred Parchment,an Ancient, and Respect Scroll, and uses it as a bib for himself. When other members shocked at what Homer is going with the Parchment, among others things like blowing his nose, they banish Homer from The Stonecutters Organization,Forever, after having him remove his Members Clothing. As a final humiliation,he is forced to drag with him,the Stone of Shame,a Rock with a chain that bhe must drag before the other Members. As Homer is draggingb The Stone of Shame, the Members notice his Birthmark.Suddenly, they all change their tunes. They all bow down to Homer. It turns out that according to sacred prophecy, the true Leader of the Stonecutters will one day arrive to lead it's Members to Glory.Whoever wheres the sacred Mark is the true Leader.Homer seems to be that Leader. They then remove The Stone of Shame to Homers delight, and attach The Stone of Triumph,to Homers displeasure. This is necessary for the Coronation to take place on top of Mount Springfield.Homer was happy before being a Member of the Stonecutters, but now as the Leader he is feeling on Cloud nine. This feeling Homer has however won't last.According to Lisa,Homer will be left with a feeling of emptiness. This fact true as his fellow Stonecutters are Cowtowing to his ever whim.Homer soon enough feels empty.Lisa helps him get out of his down feeling by having his lackeys help the Community;plays with the children at the Daycare Center, paint over the Graffiti on Houses, and Buildings etc.The Stonecutters soon grow tire of these things, and call a Meeting of the World Council to determine what to do about Homer. Not wanting to do any physical harm, the Members including Lenny,Carl, and Moe decide to terminate their Membership as Stonecutters. They along with The Springfield Leader decide to form their own Club calling it The Secret Society of No Homers.Homer attempts to join but is not allowed, just like when he was a boy.Homer is still the Leader of the remaining Members of The Stonecutters which now only includes Monkeys.Marge, and the Kids talk Homer into becoming a Member of their Organization,The Simpson Family which includes five Members.Homer says yes,and is giving an iniiation...the paddling of the swollin ass.
