Plot Overview

In a rare episode that focuses on Superintendent Chalmers,he decides to take an personnal hand in educating Springfields most proudest underachiever,Bart.This decision comes after a School prank that Bart played on Skinner.Chalmers method of educating Bart comes in the double-form of a Book Study,and Field Trip.Miraculously,Bart learns from Chalmers methgod about President Theodore Roosevelt.So,willing is Bart to learn that he invites Milhouse,Nelson,Jimbo,Kearny,and Dolph to liston to Chammers speak about Roosevelt as President,but in particular about his being a Rough Rider.The young men are all amazed by Teddy Roosevelt exploits.For thye first time,the young are getting an education from an Authority figure who is to their outlook,cool.But,as is in all things there is an unexpectant event.While on a Field Trip Nelson gets injured.The School Board is angry that Chalmers had taken the young men on a Field Trip without proper supervision.As a result,Chalmers is fired.Bart,and the gang are outraged by this action,and decide to get Chalmers his job back.Their plan is to take over the School.They succeed.Their plan to get Chalmers his job back also meets with success.And, as with some endings this one has Bart,and Friend going back to the way they were before,but with more knowledge,and appreciation for people in history.
