Season Nine of The Scooby-Doo Show premiered on November 8, 1980, and was the second of four seasons to air under the title Scooby-Doo and Scrappy-Doo. It originally aired as the first half of a package show: The Richie Rich/Scooby-Doo Show .

For the first time in the show's history, each episode is made up of multiple shorts, instead of one 22-minute story. In addition, the characters of Daphne, Velma, and Fred no longer appear.
