Plot Overview

Every year, Count Dracula stages his Monster Race Rally with horror icons such as Frankenstein's Monster and the Mummy vying for Monster of the Year. But when the Werewolf bows out, Dracula has to locate a replacement or else the race is canceled. Gleaning information on who is next in line to be a werewolf, he finds it in the person of our lanky hero, Norville "Shaggy" Rogers. Dracula sends his two stooges, the Hunch Bunch, to retrieve Shaggy, who is at a drive-in with his girl friend Googie and with Scooby and Scrappy-Doo. Shaggy is turned into a werewolf and is consigned to participating in the race, which he agrees to on the condition that he turned back to human if he wins. Dracula schemes throughout to keep Shaggy from winning.

This feature marks the final appearance of Scrappy-Doo as a series regular.
