Plot Overview
A veteran officer who was partnered with a younger female officer is killed during a shootout with fleeing jewel thieves. Many of her fellow officers blame her for the older cop's death, believing that him pushing her out of the way of the getaway car allowed the thieves enough time to gun him down, and consequently, they believe that teaming a male officer with a female is a bad idea. Mike, however, doesn't share their opinions and takes her on as his partner, but she angers Ryker by following a lead on her own, rather than turn the info over to Robbery detectives.
