When Ryan is faced with being shuffled into the child-services system, Seth comes up with a plan: Ryan can secertly live in an unfinished home owned by Seth's mom. It's a foolproof plan -- for a while.
Ryan is set to head to a group home but decides to run away instead. Seth finds Ryan sneaking out of the house and volunteers his mothers model home as a place Ryan can squat. On their way to the home Marissa sees them and comes along. Luke is suspicious of Marissa and follows her to the house, where he confronts Ryan. Allusions and References
- Literary Musings: Jack Kerouac wrote a book in the 1950's called On The Road about traveling.
- Seth: That whole Kerouac thing. Hit the road, stop at diner to diner, the pancake tour of North America; right now, this could very well be the first stop on our pancake tour of North America.
- Marissa: Like in On the Road, that's my favorite book.
- Seth: Mine too.
- Marissa says she is into punk; Seth retorts that Avril Lavigne doesn't count as punk, and she proceeds to list a series of bands; The Cramps, Stiff Little Fingers, The Clash, and The Sex Pistols.
