Luck is in the house during a Vegas Night fundraiser: Seth becomes Summer's lucky charm and Marissa reconnects with Luke. In the aftermath of events involving Ryan's mom, Kirsten takes a chance and opens her home to the boy.

Ryan is in juvy after the events of last episode. But when Kirsten and Seth visit Ryan, Kirsten recognizes that she has to act fast or Ryan's safety may be at risk. Sandy tracks down Ryan's mother, Dawn, and invites her to an O.C. party. Nothing goes well.
