The Completely Mental Misadventures of Ed Grimley was an animated comedy airing on NBC.
Ed Grimley, the good-natured über-nerd created by Martin Short for Second City TV and Saturday Night Live, becomes a cartoon figure (voiced by Short) and the show details his misadventures with his landlord Mr. Freebus, his lovely neighbor Miss Malone, the Truly Remarkable Gustav Brothers who break down Ed's situation to a science, and Count Floyd, Ed's favorite TV show (and this show's sole live-action segment).
The series was cited as something kids' parents could watch as well, and that was its downfall--it did not attract the 2-11 age group advertisers covet.
