From The TV IV

The Bullwinkle Show was an expanded prime time edition of Rocky And His Friends, which had aired previously on ABC's afternoon line-up Tuesdays and Thursdays. Episodes produced specifically for the show were screened along with two new features, "Aesop & Son" and "Dudley Do-Right Of The Mounties."

The show ran for two seasons in primetime with original episodes. NBC ran repeats on Saturday morning during the 1963-64 season and in 1964 the repeats moved to ABC on Sunday mornings, where it aired through 1972. It returned on NBC in the fall of 1981 and ran just that season. It returned in prime time for a two-week run on CBS in 1990 (the 4-episode arc "The Last Angry Moose").

Jay Ward would create his first series specifically for Saturday morning in 1964, Hoppity Hooper.
