Plot Overview

Michael Paul Brady and Carol Ann Martin are engaged to be married. Mike, a widower, has three sons: 13-year-old Greg, 10-year-old Peter and 7-year-old Bobby; he also has a housemaid, Alice. Carol, whose marital status is never made clear, has three daughters: 11-year-old Marcia, 9-year-old Jan and 6-year-old Cindy.

The boys insist on bringing along their beloved pet dog, Tiger. Despite their father's reservations, Tiger gets to come along. Worried that the dog will get after the girl's cat, Fluffy, the dog is locked in the car.

After the vows are exchanged, Tiger somehow gets loose from the car and begins chasing after the girls' cat. The result causes chaos, as the animals knock over everything and ruin the catered meal and reception.

Later that evening, Mike and Carol regret blaming their children for everything gone wrong and decide to bring them along for their honeymoon. Throw in Alice and the pets, and everyone begins marching into five seasons that would go down in history.
