Plot Overview

Bobby is annoyed by Cindy's motherly behavior toward her doll, Kitty Karry-All, and remarks that he wishes it would go away forever. Before long, the doll really does disappear and Cindy — knowing that Bobby was the only one in the room when she last saw her beloved doll — accuses her brother of the theft.

Mike and Carol try to reason with Cindy, suggesting she simply misplaced it or that there's some other explanation, but that's of little reassurance to Cindy. A housewide search for the doll fails, and soon all the kids are shunning Bobby. Alice tries to mediate the dispute by holding an impromptu trial, but it just results in a hung jury and makes things worse.

Later, Bobby begins angering Cindy with his kazoo, and then when it disappears, he too begins accusing Cindy of its disappearance. Mike takes his youngest two children aside and explains the concept of circumstantial evidence and that, without direct evidence, it is unfair to make any accusations. Bobby takes the lecture to heart and buys Cindy a new Kitty Karry-All doll, but Cindy knows the difference between this new doll and her own and immediately shuns it.

Just then, Tiger enters the room and snatches the faux-Kitty ... right in front of Mike's eyes. Everyone chases the pooch to the doghouse, where Mike and Carol immediately find numerous items the dog had snatched — including Bobby's kazoo and (much to an overjoyed Cindy's relief) Kitty Karry-All.
