The Addams Family (1973) is a animated comedy that aired on NBC.
In this variation of Charles Addams' popular Saturday Evening Post cartoon and the 1964 sitcom, the Addams Family travel across the country in a haunted mobile home. The acquire a pet octopus, Ocho. It attains many of the macabre traits of the TV sitcom: while on board a cruise ship, Gomez and Morticia entreat the bandleader to play their song: "The Funeral March."
The Addams Family first became animated the season prior on The New Scooby-Doo Movies on CBS (the episode, imaginatively enough, was titled Scooby Doo Meets The Addams Family). They would become animated again in 1992 on ABC. Hanna-Barbera made that edition as well and re-recruited John Astin as the voice of Gomez.
