Plot Overview

A fireman tells Ashley they can't find her husband. Justin looks for the bible. Gregory asks T.J. to help save his dad. Kate tells T.J. that Justin is in the study and then T.J. defies the firemen and tries to go in. Ruby decides if Mark wants Allison he can have her. Then she cries when she realizes the only time Mark said "I love you" was when he was asleep. Then Elena arrives and says she would like to talk so they decide to eat and have a slumber party. Paige realizes what she has done but George tries to calm her and calls her Maggie. Paige asks George who Maggie is but he continues to try to calm her. Doris tells Allison there is a fire at the ranch and Gregory, Justin and Ashley went over there. Kate tells Joel that Justin and T.J. are in the house, so Joel and Rikki head for it too. T.J. looks for Justin. Ruby and Elena talk about Billy Joe and Nita. Then Elena tells Ruby she and Joe are over. Elena is surprised at how much she and Ruby are agreeing. Then Ruby tells Elena that Mark is with Allison tonight and Allison made her cry. Elena tries to cheer her up by telling her that Mark didn't stop talking about her when she was posing as his girlfriend during Aunt Mavis' visit. Elena tells Ruby if Mark isn't treating her the way she wants to be treated she should tell him that and risk losing him. Then Mark shows up and Ruby slams the door in his face. Allison arrives at the ranch and so does a doctor who checks Kate out. Kate refuses to leave until Justin comes out. Then T.J. tells Ashley he couldn't get in and Ashley is hysterical. T.J. tries to console Ashley and Gregory but then Justin comes out and gives Kate the family bible. T.J. asks George if Paige is okay and then they have words. Then T.J. leaves and George tells Paige he will take her with him. Everyone is happy that Justin is okay and Rikki tells them that their house is gone too. Ashley tells Justin he is a hero and then T.J. helps Justin with the fire. Elena leaves and then Ruby tells Mark she knows about his dinner with Allison. She tells Mark she isn't second best and doesn't deserve to be treated like this. Reena tells Rikki she is sorry about his house and both decide they are glad Max didn't see the fire and at least the cabin is still here. Lyle checks Kate out at Marshall Oaks and Doris meets Lurlene and Ginny. Then Kate learns that Paige isn't at Marshall Oaks and Ginny tries to calm Kate. Privately, Ginny and Lurlene hope Kate will be okay as Kate reads the bible. Ruby tells Mark she will try to accept the fact that he isn't ready to settle down but she needs to know that he respects her. Mark then invites her to dinner with his folks so they can get to know her better. At George's, George tries to tell Paige it was just a bad dream and again calls her Maggie and says they won't get away with it. Ginny and Lurlene comfort Kate about the ranch. A fireman tells Justin they can't save anything. Then T.J. watches as Justin is with Ashley. The ranch burns to the ground.
