Plot Overview

Christine tells Hunt that no one knows where Billy Joe is. Stella arrives at KVIK with Jimmy and tells Vicky she wants to be the host of the game show. T.J. tells Ashley the only birth certificate on record lists Hildy as the mother and the father as unknown. T.J. and Ashley ask Ginny if she was in the safe the last day she was at work and she tells them she didn't take anything from the safe but was in it. T.J. tells Ginny the envelope of Ashley is misplaced. Vicky tells Stella she is considering giving her a 6 week tryout for the game show but there will be no gossip and Stella agrees. Hunt and Christine ask Ruby where Billy Joe is and Ruby tells them that Rikki will fill in for rehearsal but Christine is furious and Hunt tells Ruby if Billy Joe doesn't make it to the show he may be through at KVIK. Christine tells Hunt she found out last night that Billy Joe had an emergency so she called Vicky when she couldn't reach him. Then Vicky tells Hunt she couldn't reach him last night. Then Vicky says she is going to give the game show to Stella. Judith visits Stella at KVIK and says she wants to talk to her about the vicious gossip she was about to tell when the accident happened. But Stella tells Judith she is a reformed woman and won't gossip anymore. Rikki tries to convince Ruby that Nita will come back with Billy Joe but Ruby has her doubts. Then Christine is more upset that Billy Joe still hasn't arrived and tells them that Vicky is about to give the game show to Stella. Billy Joe longs for Nita as he walks through New York City and makes his way to a bridge and looks out over the city while the song "It's All Over" plays. Mildred extends her condolences to Ginny and then T.J. arrives. Mildred tells T.J. she was in the office when Ginny got the news about Ryan that she left when Paige arrived. Ruby tries to find out if Billy Joe is on the airplane but gets nowhere and tells Rikki that Billy Joe checked out of the hotel. Mark finds Allison in a bad mood and tries to talk to her about Ashley. Then, as Mark kisses Allison, Judith arrives. Hunt and Christine decide that Rikki is going on the air in Billy Joe's place but Rikki tries to defend Billy Joe. Then Ruby tells Christine there is no word on Billy Joe yet. Judith invites Allison to dinner once Brette gets back. Then, once alone, Mark tells Judith not to push Allison and him together. Judith tells Mark he has nothing in common with Ruby and asks him not to make a mistake. Then Judith agrees to try to get along with Ruby. Ashley tells T.J. the divorce papers are ready to be served on Justin. T.J. then tells Ashley that Justin is making quite a splash on the racecar circuit in France. T.J. also tells her that both Mildred and Paige were in the office and either of them may have the birth certificate as well as Justin or Allison. Christine and Hunt both decide they are going to replace Billy Joe but Rikki still tries to defend him. Then Ruby enters and tells them she doesn't know where Billy Joe is. Christine tells Rikki it is time to go on the air and then she tells Ruby that Billy Joe is fired.
