Plot Overview

Ruby tells Lurlene she has a hot date with Mark tonight. Vicky tells Joel she wants to see him in her office in 5 minutes. Ashley tells Gregory that Justin is coming over to see him not her. Ashley tells Gregory that Justin knows about the baby and then Doris enters and they discuss dinner plans. Christine and Rikki tell Reena that his album has crossed over to the Top 40 and Christine suggests that they do a song writing contest for the flip side of his upcoming single release but Rikki has some doubts about doing it. Vicky tells Joel they missed a big story because he wasn't doing his job properly and Vicky asks Joel why he took a job that involves desk work when he isn't happy doing it and suggests he decide if the job is right for him. Hunt tells Christine Billy Joe is doing better. Joel visits Lurlene and Ruby and he tells them he messed up at work and that he wonders if the job is right for him. Christine visits Billy Joe and they talk about him missing Nita. Then she suggests that they have dinner some night. Rikki stops by Ruby and Lurlene's and tells them his album is no.38. Then Rikki tells Ruby about Christine's song writing publicity idea and Ruby thinks it is crazy. Mark tells Allison how Grant is upset about him missing the meeting this morning and Allison comforts him and offers to help him with his work. Christine asks Billy Joe to dinner and then Ruby arrives. Ruby tells Christine that her clients will not do anything without her approval and Billy Joe says it will do him good to get out. Reena tells Vicky and Christine that Stella is doing better and then Vicky asks for a written proposal for Christine's song writing idea. Then Reena and Vicky talk about what a good team they make and Reena tells Vicky that Ashley is pregnant by T.J. Ginny tells T.J. if he thinks being part of the Marshall family is a problem she should consider quitting. Ginny tells T.J. she can handle her job. So then T.J. tells Ginny that Ashley is going to take over Marshall Oil and ask to be nominated as Chairman of the Board and vote her 55% share in her favor. Ruby asks Lurlene if Joel can stay the night so she can be alone in the penthouse with Mark over night. Then Mark calls and tells Ruby that he has to cancel because he will be working all night with Allison. Then Ruby tells Lurlene Mark cancelled their date. T.J. tells Ashley he is sending paper work over for her to look at before Friday's board meeting. Ashley tells T.J. she is scared and Doris is listening in. Lurlene tries to comfort Ruby. Then Ruby decides to wait for Mark in the penthouse. Ashley tells Justin that the baby is his and not T.J.'s but Justin doesn't believe it. Then Ashley tells him she is coming to the board meeting Friday to ask for a leave of absence. Gregory tells Justin about school and then Gregory talks about the baby and when he invites Justin to dinner Justin decides to stay.
