Plot Overview
Allison offers to take some contracts to Ryan. Lurlene tells Ruby they are going to tell Brette that her friend is dead. Rikki and Brette fill up with gas at a small canteen. Grant tells Mark that Rikki has taken a few days off too. Ginny tells Reena she thinks Allison has a crush on Ryan. Allison flirts with Ryan. Ruby reluctantly agrees to go see Brette with her. Mark tells Grant not to worry about Brette. Gretchen arrives at Joel's office and he tells her that his jeep isn't quite ready to go yet but they will go today. Ruby and Lurlene meet Mark and learn that Brette isn't home. Allison tells Ginny how lucky she is to have a man like Ryan. Ruby and Lurlene talk to Mark but don't tell him very much. The service station attendant tells Rikki and Brette that the Hitopah region is very dangerous. John hurts his back while with Vivien. Rikki and Brette leave the canteen and head out to Hitopah. Ruby tells Lurlene she is going to get her money. Lurlene helps Ruby to break into Gretchen's apartment. Grant tells Reena is worried Brette may have gone off backpacking alone and that he hasn't paid enough attention to her. Rikki and Brette drive through the canyons and then put more gas in the jeep. Ginny visits Ryan and they talk about Allison. Reena tells Grant that the kids feel his love. Ruby discovers all kinds of guns in Gretchen's closet and then Lurlene tells her that Gretchen is coming down the hall. Gretchen takes a gun from the closet and then talks on the phone to Bailey about him and Adams following her. Then Joel arrives and the 2 leave together unaware that Ruby and Lurlene were hiding in the closet. Rikki and Brette park the jeep and strike out on foot.
