Talk:Three Moons over Milford

From The TV IV
Jump to: navigation, search

Okay I created Three Moons Over Milford not realizing this page has been created because that is what the show is listed as every single other place I've seen it (official website, official tv listings, TVGuide.com, etc.). Looking at some capitalization rules I guess it qualifies as a preposition and shouldn't necessarily be capitalized but since every other source including all the official ones capitalize the word shouldn't we too? Absolutely. Also i've never seen the word over in lower case in titles. --MateoP 16:57, 15 August 2006 (EDT)
Okay did a little more web research and it seems TV Guide's show page uses the lowercase over but none of their articles do it that way and that is literally the only other place I can find it done that way. A few more "official sources" for using capitalized over include: itunes, Hollywood Reporter, Scifi.com.The-jam 17:03, 15 August 2006 (EDT)
Official website is the only one that matters since, you know, they created the show and all. They get to decide it's title. --MateoP 17:06, 15 August 2006 (EDT)
Well we've had issues with official websites being inconsistant with how things were written else where but in this case every thing is pretty standard. Including the title card which I just quickly scanned to using ABC Family's free webstream and the title is written just like on the current logo picture in the article with the goofy font for the o's and the one in over is clearly capitalized. It really doesn't matter how other sites capitalize things for Wiki purposes. Our unofficial style manual is what counts, and on this site, prepositions of four or fewer letters aren't capitalized (although we should capitalize them for sorting purposes in DEFAULTSORTs.) Moved back. -- JCaesartalk 06:32, 23 January 2010 (EST)

Sci-Fi Categorization

I don't think this can really be classified as science-fiction. Aside from the Moon being broken into 3 pieces, which happened prior to the pilot, there is nothing remotely sci-fi about it. DCEdwards1966 | Talk 23:42, 15 August 2006 (EDT)

I disagree. It has the people of the town (and the planet) altering their behavior due to a impending catastrophe (a large chunk of the Moon crashing into Earth). It may not have aliens or spaceships or time travel, but it is a 'what if' situation. --Davidscarter 00:01, 16 August 2006 (EDT)
