Supply Balloon?

Why does the description call the food drop a 'balloon' when the only mention is to a parachute, and a parachute is certainly the most common method of doing 'food drops.'

I changed all references of "balloon" to "parachute". Wraith messed up on that one. I'll eventually get to this entry and completely redo it anyway, but at least the entry is corrected for now. --Cheshire Cat 16:13, 13 April 2006 (EDT)

Promotional Images

Wraith: Any reason we're removing the Promotional Images for screencaps for the episode? There is a promotional image with that in mind, but I just think the Promotional Images are better looking for the page. They've been used as far back as Lockdown (and probably before, I can't recall). I mean, they're really high quality images, that's my main issue to why I'm using them.

I mean, we can put those screencaps in the content part of the page, I just think it looks nicer with a promo image. That's all. --Webbeh 18:05, 13 April 2006 (EDT)

I personally think that some of the promotional images a) take up way too much vertical space, and b) aren't indicative of the episode since promotional episodes don't tend to do that. I feel that the episode image should comprise of a pivotal or prominent moment that occurs in the episode, and not necessarily what ABC decides to hand out in their press releases. From an aesthetic standpoint, it's also a nice showcase of Lost's brilliant cinematography. I think Man of Science, Man of Faith and Adrift have perfect episode images, while Maternity Leave and Lockdown have just images that don't really mean much. I mean, okay, Maternity Leave's episode image is pretty important, but something about it just looks incredibly sterile. Of course, this is just my opinion. --Wizardryo\talk 00:59, 14 April 2006 (EDT)
I agree with the comment about vertical space. Previous episode images in the first season were all mostly 300x169, so I made sure that all the following images were of the same size when I added information for all the episodes in that season. I feel that it's better to have a standard size that spans across all the episode pages. I also look at the image as a snapshot that sort of describes, overall, the episode and that's something a lot of the promotional images don't have. I'm only up to Everybody Hates Hugo for the second season and I imagine I'll be changing the episode images for the rest of them once I have the time to get to their pages. --Cheshire Cat 02:11, 14 April 2006 (EDT)

The image on Maternity Leave is a screen shot not a promo image. I think that images that show close ups of characters (preferably more than one doing something plot critical) look better than the far away establishing shots with tiny people like the Man of Science, Man of Faith shot. Although that Adrift shot is just perfect because it fits the episode theme and looks brilliant. --The-jam

Yeah, I wasn't too hot on using the episode image that I went with for Man of Science, Man of Faith as it's hard to see Jack in it, but I thought it best "described" the episode — they found an underground bunker with all kinds of electronic equipment and Jack doesn't know what the fuck. --Cheshire Cat 02:15, 14 April 2006 (EDT)
