Plot Overview

The episode starts with a man, Devlin, coming to see a woman, Stacy, he believes to be in trouble. Mitch takes offense because he believes that she belongs to him and shoots Devlin. Mitch uses religious language such as "thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's wife" while killing his competitor; even though he and Stacy are not married.

Stacy is a model during a photo shoot who is lightly flirting with her photographer, Devlin. Mitch enters and tells her what to do and accuses Devlin of hitting on her. He makes a scene and walks off. Stacy apologizes but Devlin gives her a key to the studio in case she ever needs to get away. Later that night, Stacy comes to the studio and the two become romantic. Devlin gives her a necklace saying that if a promise is made with it then the promise will always be kept. She says she wants to leave Mitch but is afraid. Devlin says that no matter what happens he will be there; which he promises.

Mitch calls Devlin the next day and says that Stacy is in trouble because they got into a fight. Devlin goes to see what is the matter and Mitch kills and buries him, catching back up with the beginning of the episode. The next day Mitch apologizes for everything that he's done to her and tells her she can move on, but says that Devlin probably hasn't called yet because he meets girls in photo shoots all the time. Stacy goes to Devlin's apartment and hears the message Mitch left for him. However Mitch has followed her and kidnaps her.

He brings her back to his place where he intends to rape and then kill her. However Devlin's promise comes true as he is resurrected from the spot Mitch buried him. Delvin's rotting corpse comes to Mitch's cabin and starts to bury him alive. Meanwhile, Stacy has escaped from the cabin.

  • B: This episode actually is a lot like 'Til Death except I think this one is actually a lot more effective because it trims all of the unnecessary elements of 'Til Death and replaces it with a simple storyline. Teri Hatcher gives her usual damsel in distress perfomance here; frankly it's difficult to tell if it has evolved at all since this was made or not. Regardless, the simple murder plot isn't quite offensive enough to make me smile the way some of the other ironic twists work out. Still, well done like always. --MateoP 18:12, 7 August 2006 (EDT)
