TOKYOPOP is an anime and manga distribution company in the United States. They are known for being one of the first to publish manga unflipped (right-to-left) on cheaper paper and selling it for a lower price point. The manga industry in the United States boomed after the introduction of what is now known as the "Tokyopop Format." They also distribute some anime on DVD.
