Ronald "Ron" Oswald is the writing partner of Ricky Tahoe and was one of the co-executive producers for Studio 60 at the time of the series' 20th season. When Wes Mendell had his meltdown on the season premiere, Ron remained on staff due to contractual obligations. He left the show, however, when a character he created with Ricky was optioned for a pilot on FOX. He is played by Carlos Jacott
