Daniel "Danny" Tripp is an executive producer for Studio 60, brought in to save the show after Wes Mendell's meltdown in the 20th season premiere. He is a recovering drug addict and segment producer turned award winning filmmaker who returned to the show after failing a drug test and sinking his plans to direct another film with Matt Albie. He is played by Bradley Whitford.
