Cheryl Carrera is a Supervisory Special Agent in Charge with the FBI, in charge of the Los Angeles field office of the Crisis Negotiation Unit (CNU) of the Critical Incident Response Group (CIRG).

Basic Information
Character History
Cheryl Carrera was born in Brooklyn, New York. Carrera received a B.S. in Political Science from the City University of New York. Thereafter, Carrera first acquired a Masters of International Relations and then a Doctor of Juridical Science from Columbia University. After acquiring the undergraduate and graduate degrees, Carrera became an Assistant District Attorney in the City of New York, before attending the FBI Academy and joining the FBI.
With the FBI, Carrera has attended the Safe Streets Survival Course, the National Center for the Analysis of Violent Crime (CIRG), and has received certification: 1) FBI National Negotiation Certification, & 2) FBI Advanced Criminology Certification.
Carrera has received two awards with the FBI, the Directors Award for Excellence in Investigation, and the Outstanding Federal Law Enforcement Manager.
