Plot Overview

Tim's erratic friend Tyres convinces him, Daisy and the others to go to a club.

Notes

Music

  • "Come On Eileen" by Dexys Midnight Runners: In the opening scene, Brian is punched out at an 80s club, surrounded by people singing the bridge of "Come On Eileen" by Dexys Midnight Runners. The song was the biggest selling single in Britain during 1982 and appeared on the album Too-Rye-Ay. Incidentally, everyone in the club is dressed like the band members, as they appear on the sleeve of the record (and in the music video).

Allusions and References

  • Shazam: During Scrabble, Tim tries to spell "Shazam" on the board but Daisy challenges it. Shazam is the "magic word" uttered by Billy Batson in order to transform himself into the avatar of the gods—Captain Marvel. It is also the name of any comic starring Captain Marvel published by DC Comics as a result of a lawsuit involving Marvel Comics' copyright.
