Space Ghost Coast to Coast — Season One

Punch is the seventh episode of the first season of Space Ghost Coast to Coast. On a show revolving around people with yellow hair and people that wear masks, Space Ghost discusses movies with Cyndi Guyer, discusses the meaning of the word "punch" with The Jerky Boys, and tries to calm a bewildered Dian Parkinson.

Plot Overview

Space Ghost opens with a speech at St. Peter's Square in Rome, returns, realizes he forgot Zorak, goes to pick him up, and comes back. He discusses movies and disguises with Cindy Guyer for awhile. When The Jerky Boys come out and threaten to punch Space Ghost in the mouth, Space Ghost realizes that if you say the word enough, it loses all its meaning. Most of the interview is then spent saying the word "punch". Dian Parkinson is brought out, apparently unready, and they discuss the fair.

• Cindy Guyer: Cindy Guyer is a frequent model for romance novels, hence why Space Ghost calls her the "female Fabio." The television series which Guyer spoke of in the interview never came to be, although she did go on to produce a reality series called Mr. Romance.

• Jerky Boys: The Jerky Boys are a comedy duo from Brooklyn, NY, made up of Johnny Brennan and Kamal. The two started doing comedy in 1989 and debuted on CD in 1993 after their bootleg prank phone calls fell into the hands of Howard Stern. The duo's comedy entirely revolves around prank phone calls, which have led to over 7 million CDs sold. In 1994, Johnny B. and Kamal had just released their self-titled album a year before and were about to release their follow-up, The Jerky Boys 2. Both would eventually be certified as double-platinum albums.

• Dian Parkinson: Dian Parkinson is a model who, at the time of the interview, worked on The Price is Right. She worked as one of "Barker's Beautys" on the program from 1975 until 1993. She would later quit and file a lawsuit against Bob Barker alleging sexual harassment in 1994.
