Notes

Brave New Worlds

  • San Francisco is part of the country of New India.
  • A seer from San Francisco prevented the assassination of Lincoln in 1865 and so he created a special cabinet post called Prime Oracle whose role it is to foresee potential disasters, leading to the aversion of every major conflict of the past century. This led the country to believe in psychic powers and was discovered 10% of the population has these abilities and are trained in specialities relating to medical diagnosis, mineral exploration, and criminology.

Timer

  • About 5 minutes
  • A couple of days

Arc Advancement

Happenings

  • Derek gets a disturbing premonition about where the sliders are going next. (In production order, the next episode is "Invasion".)

Characters

Referbacks

  • Wade says she hasn't worn a dress since the Lottery Winners' Ball (Luck of the Draw).

Trivia

The Show

  • Malcolm Stewart played Alan Fontaine in "Last Days". Due to a lack of name here, it's debatable that he's a double.
  • Sandra P. Grant appeared in "El Sid" as a MSW. Again, due to lack of a name, it's debatable that they're doubles.

Behind the Scenes

  • Tracey Tormé considered casting his father as the Prime Oracle before deciding to give him a juicer role which he did for "Greatfellas".

Quotes

  • Arturo: Exasperating ninny.
Rembrandt: Oh, come on, Professor, he's just trying to be polite.
Arturo: "Thank you and goodbye" is polite, Mister Brown. Half an hour of servile nattering is sheer insanity.
  • Rembrandt: Who are you?
Derek Bond: The name's Bond. Derek Bond. It's kind of hard to resist saying it that way.
  • Rembrandt: Listen, Q-Ball, you're only making it worse.
Quinn: He's manipulating her. It's obvious.
Rembrandt: That's right and she knows it. Last thing she wants is to hear that from you. Just makes her feel like you're manipulating her, too.
Quinn: When the hell did you get to be such an expert?
Rembrandt: I'm the Crying Man. You think that just happens?
