Plot Overview

The three male Sliders are the subject of mass hysteria when they arrive on a world where the vast majority of men were wiped out by a virus, and each country is in a race to repopulate. While the three are sent to a breeding facility, Wade looks for help from a woman who is also attempting to break her husband out.

Brave New Worlds

• Years ago during a conflict in the Middle East, the Iraqi military unleashed a virus that attacked the Y-chromosome. It spread across the world, depleting the male population to varying degrees across nations. This led to an arms race of sorts between nations to repopulate with men found and mandated to breed.

The Show

• The women in the Chia Man infomercial appear to be female doubles or at least analogous to the characters played by Charlie McGlade and Mike Levy, seen in "Fever" and were apparently almost included in "Luck of the Draw".

• In the aired order, this is the second time our group has taken someone else with them. However, they not only take two extra people, but also a van. In the production order, this episode is after "El Sid" where they also took two new people, but Arturo warned about the strain more mass can put on the vortex.

Allusions and References

• Rembrandt lists some shows on this world that are a play on real world shows: Sisters: the Outlaw Years, Hanging with Mrs. Cooper, and The Fresh Princess of Bel-Air.

Memorable Moments

• When Wade reunites with the guys, she gives them a scare by pretending she doesn't have the timer.

Goofs

• In the wide shot in the teaser of the women surrounding the quartet, just before it cuts away, you can see a few of them in the background actually begin to charge before they do a few seconds later.

• The footage of Quinn, Arturo and Rembrandt being shown inside the van is from the camera in the van; not an outside camera.

• Rembrandt: Well, things look kinda normal.

Arturo: Yes, it often looks normal, but it's just madness underneath.

• Rembrandt: There's not a single man in this whole place.

Arturo: Is it possible that we have landed on a world where there are no men?

Wade: Listen to me, who's gonna mean more to your handlers back in Canberra? A national treasure or an American transvestite and overweight Englishman?

Rembrandt: Oh, man, that's cold.

• Arturo: What's going on here? (sees Wade driving) What the devil?

Wade: Distributor wire! This baby's a rental.

Rembrandt: You are unbelievable, girl.

Wade: Oh yeah? Tell that to the rent-a-car place. They're gonna slam my credit when this thing doesn't come back.
