[edit] Plot Overview

Quinn's bullet wound is reopened and needs urgent medical attention, but the Sliders are on an Earth where belief in the mystic is widespread. Looking for a real doctor the group end up seeking the help of the mysterious and feared Sorcerer, who may not be as mysterious as they think, and who may infact be able to help them find Earth Prime.

[edit] Notes

  • The first time the Sliders land back on Earth Prime. Reading a newspaper and testing the squeaky gate theory, they decide that they have not returned home and continue on their travels, only to find Jake the gardener has oiled the gate in Quinn's absence. This would contradict the Season 3 episode The Exodus (1) when Quinn once again returns home to find the gate squeak on testing.
  • This is the third episode filmed for Season 2, after much wrangling on Tracey Torme's part to resolve the previous year's cliffhanger (see "Behind the Scenes").

[edit] Behind the Scenes

More Fox executive meddling in the works as they felt Quinn's bullet wound would have been long forgotten since the show's cliffhanger season one ending. After much wrangling an opener was written to explain what had happened since; Quinn's injury healed but reopened after landing on this world, and Ryan and Henry the dog who had slid with them did not follow them to the next world.
